Teaching Group Fitness is an amazing gift in my life that I am forever grateful for. It got me through so many different parts of my life. I started teaching Body Flow in 2006 as a single girl who wasn't really sure where my career (or life in general) was going. I instantly fell in love with the connection group exercise provided.

I was listening to the late Dr. Wayne Dyer's Podcast the other day (he passed away in 2015, if you don't know who he is, please look him up, he shares many powerful messages). When describing his current wellness routine at then 70+ years old, he referred to the routine as a "Radical Wellness" plan. I really connected with this statement, this bold commitment. I admired his willingness to go to extremes and jump in with both feet. Sometimes we need to get real and honest with ourselves. Change is challenging and sometimes means pushing outside of your comfort zone.
Instead of trying to escape and hide from the kids in order to workout at the cottage, I decided to actually include them! I was pleasantly surprised. I played fun music and they were so proud to show me how strong, flexible or balanced they were. I got in a good workout too, we did lots of pushups, leg lifts, planks and mountain climbers.
There is nothing better than sandy feet, beachy hair and tanned babies. This week we headed up to my family's cottage on the gulf shore.
