Instead of trying to escape and hide from the kids in order to workout at the cottage, I decided to actually include them! I was pleasantly surprised. I played fun music and they were so proud to show me how strong, flexible or balanced they were. I got in a good workout too, we did lots of pushups, leg lifts, planks and mountain climbers.
I am trying to integrate more inclusive lifestyle practices into my everyday life. This means thinking about health and wellness as a family activity, as something we can share and that brings joy and connection. Don't get me wrong, I like my hard adult workouts, but I am trying to mix it up and not make "gym time" the only way I workout. Do you like working out with family or friends?
